Meet Li!

Hi I’m Li Rinne-Mignotte (they/them). I am a neuro-divergent, trans non-binary AFAB queer, NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and MBA holder existing in Phoenix, AZ.

To help get myself through a tough time, I started working out for the first time at 28 years old. I quickly realized that lifting heavy stuff also helped lift my mood, and that sweating through high-intensity workouts also helped with the existential sweat of everyday life.

Movement helps me let go of some of the frustration or anxiety that I struggle with. When I have to think about what my body is doing, sometimes my brain can stop spinning out about some other train of thought - kind of like meditation, but through movement. AND it can even be fun!

Moving regularly and feeling stronger really helped with my gender dysphoria by normalizing features that I used to be ashamed of for being “too masculine.” Ultimately, working out helped me realize that I just don’t identify as the female I was assigned at birth.

I came out as trans non-binary at 31 years old, and doing so helped me let go of some of society’s expectations for the female body. Now I try to embrace body neutrality - where how a body functions is more important than how a body looks.

Everybody and every body is different, so as with the Ted Talk above and in any session we might have together, please take what resonates and leave what doesn’t. You are here for you, not for me.

My only hope is to help turn that gender dysphoria into gender euphoria, and maybe help put a little more power behind that punch to the patriarchy.
